霹雳猫的简介
1985年首播的全130话TV动画《霹雳猫》是部美日合作动画，但当时并没有在日本播出。参与制作动画的日本动画公司Topcraft其实正是吉卜力工作室的前身。也许大家对这家公司没有印象，但Topcraft和宫崎骏 监督、高畑勋制作人因为成功推出了剧场版《风之谷》奠定影史经典，而让幕后出资《风之谷》的金主德间书店毅然决定将Topcraft策略性改组为吉卜力工作室，我们才有幸能够欣赏到接下来的一连串吉卜力动画。2007年华纳兄弟公司宣布将会把80年代在美国热播的动画系列片《霹雳猫》 （Thundercats）拍摄成真人版电影。据悉华纳已经买下了新人编剧Paul Sopocy的剧本并交给Spring Creek Productions来制作。据透露，电影的剧情将主要集中在Lion-O如何成为霹雳猫头领的故事。改编成电影版的《Thundercats 霹雳猫》已经确定由知名电玩美术总监/制作人Jerry O’Flaherty担任电影版动画的导演。Jerry O’Flaherty的知名监制电玩包括了《战争机器 Gears of War》、《浴血战场 Unreal Tournament 2004》等游戏。放映时间在目前虽然未定，但IMDB已经进行更新，预告可望在2010年后看到电影版！1997年，Cartoon Network 播放了新版的“霹雳猫”卡通片后，重新带动了“霹雳猫”热潮。至于“霹雳猫”的漫画系列，版本也很多。MARVEL系列从1985年出到了1988年；DC的子公司Wildstorm从2003年开始也推出了两个系列的“霹雳猫”漫画。
